The Miami winter season is always an exciting time at Four Seasons Hotel Miami. South Florida’s glorious weather beckons to enjoy the outdoors and the city’s best concerts, art and parties are in full swing. This year, we have extra reason to cheer as we unveil a redesign that has brought a modern aesthetic to our rooms and suites. And to top it all off, late November brings the opening of our long-awaited new restaurant, Edge Steak & Bar. So, read on to learn more and to plan your visit to Miami for the 2011-2012 season.
Miami dining is an adventure in multicultural flavors and fashionable locales, and we are adding our own twist to this mix with Edge Steak & Bar, now open.
The restaurant offers foodies as well as downtown Miami’s power crowd a non-traditional, affordable menu of high-quality, interesting cuts of meat, indigenous seafood and locally-sourced fruits and vegetables in a modern space.
True to its non-traditional steakhouse credo, the menu at Edge offers grilled meats and fish, including smaller cuts designed to appeal to lighter eaters. “We season meats with homemade rubs before searing them at 1,800 degrees on an infrared grill,” says the hotel’s executive Chef Aaron Brooks. Innovative sides and appetizers focus on seasonal ingredients sourced by the best local producers and complemented by spices and herbs from the restaurant’s garden. The wine list of 175 labels includes more than 100 priced at $100 or less.
The Edge fun begins at the central marble bar where local residents and hotel guests mingle over creative cocktails and small plates. Beyond the bar, diners sit in comfortable booths upholstered in natural leathers or at the casual, white-washed oak tables. And because Miami life is best lived outside, Edge’s terrace, which opens early January, will be a place to see-and be-seen, with revelers gathering in a variety of seating options around firepits.
“We have created a fun, casual and fashionable restaurant that really captures Miami’s unique lifestyle,” explains Simon Pettigrew, general manager of Four Seasons Miami. For more information, please call 1 (305) 358-3535.
